Welcome to Gunpowder PTA's new website! We hope you will find the design and format of our new website to be both user-friendly and informative. We invite you to check out each of the above tabs. Our "Committees" tab offers information about Gunpowder PTA committees and various volunteer opportunities. Our "Calendar" page tells you everything going on at the school this month and in the months ahead. The "More Info" tab has links to school forms, event flyers and more. It helps keep you in the know about things going on at the school. "My Account" is specific to you. It's a place where you can register your family in our online directory. Be sure to register so we can send you e-mails and keep you in the loop regarding PTA news and events. Finally, there is our new "Fundraising Mall." Start your online shopping on this page and raise money for the PTA without doing anything. It's super easy!

Originally planned to coincide with the PTA's Winter Carnival, which was canceled because of location and budget issues, the PTA is still planning to have the Book Fair. It is now an "in-library" event and will take place the week of March 15 during the school day. Watch for more information as the event nears.

Join us for the annual student sock dance. The event is a favorite among students!

PTA General Membership Meeting Postponed

Originally planned for Tuesday, February 9 at 7 p.m. at the school, the PTA General Membership Meeting has been postponed because of inclement weather. It will be rescheduled for a future date. Plan to attend the PTA General Membership Meeting.

The Gunpowder Elementary PTA Board of Directors will present the Gunpowder Elementary PTA Bylaws (revised in November 2009) for membership approval.

Immediately before the PTA General Membership Meeting at 6 p.m. will be one of the final volunteer training sessions of the school year.

Following this brief meeting will be a presentation by a Baltimore County Public Schools' Resource Center repesentative.
