We invite you to check out each of the above tabs. Our "Committees" tab offers information about Gunpowder PTA committees and various volunteer opportunities. Our "Calendar" page tells you everything going on at the school this month and in the months ahead. The "More Info" tab has links to school forms, event flyers, an e-mail directory of PTA committee chairpersons, and more. It helps keep you in the know about things going on at Gunpowder Elementary School. "My Account" is specific to you. It's a place where you can register your family in our online directory. Come at 6:30 p.m. to meet this year's PTA officers and hear about the PTA's plans for the year. It's a quick meeting that will be followed by comments from Mrs. Smith, Gunpowder's Principal, and an introduction of the staff. Then, visit your child's classroom to meet his or her teacher and get an overview of his/her expecations for the year. |

In order to volunteer in the school, go on field trips, and help out with on-site PTA events, you need to have watched Baltimore County Public School's volunteer training film and completed a volunteer application. The film will be shown a few times throughout the year and lasts about 20 minutes. Beat the rush. Be among the first to watch it this year! |

This is a fundraiser for the school, not the PTA. It benefits the school's technology fund. Plan to eat out tonight! Once distributed, copies of the Chick-fil-A Night flyer will be downloadable from our website. You will need to take the flyer with you in order for the school to get credit for your purchase. |

Baltimore County Public School's volunteer training film will be shown tonight, one half hour prior to the PTA meeting. You must watch the film, and update or complete a new volunteer application form in order to volunteer in the school or accompany your child on field trips. |

Have You Created Or Updated Your PTA Website Account? If not, please remember to do so! The PTA needs your e-mail address and your child's grade and teacher information in order to communicate with you about upcoming PTA activities and events, and about things going on at the school. Also, don't forget about our PTA directoy. Everyone who has a website account can access our PDF directory. A PDF file, accessible only to those families with an account, the directory contains contact, teacher and grade information for everyone who is registered on the website, and who elected to share it. This can be a big help when planning a birthday party, or asking questions about a homework assignment. Each family can determine how much, or how little information they wish to share.
