Arrival and Dismissal

(Baltimore County Public Schools TRANSPORTATION REGULATIONS)

Please help us during arrival and dismissal by observing the following procedures:

When dropping off your children in the morning, please pull up as far as possible on Holiday Manor Road at the crosswalk before allowing your child to exit the car.  Our bus duty personnel will help with the fluent movement of drop-off traffic.  Please pledge your support as they perform this unattractive duty, irrespective of the sweltering heat, the yellow jacket swarms, the brutal cold, the torrential rains, and the high-pollen counts.  PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH THE BUS LOOP.  Thank you for your support and cooperation.

Please refrain from entering or parking in the bus loop between the hours of 8:15 - 8:45 a.m. and 3:15 – 3:45 p.m.

When picking up your children at dismissal:

Select the safest and most convenient stop from the list.  If you have any questions about your child’s stop, please call the assistant principal (410-887-5121).

Please note that the bus schedule shows an approximate arrival time at the first stop on the route.  Within a few days, you can predict the approximate bus arrival time for your stop.

We may need to modify our schedules during the first week of school.

The Director of Transportation would like to remind all bus students and their parents about the following Baltimore County Public School Regulations.

Pupils are to be at their bus stop in the morning when their school bus arrives.  If they must cross the road, they are to look in both directions and make sure it is safe before crossing.  Pupils, after getting off the bus, are to move five or six steps away from the side of the bus and are not to cross the road until their bus has pulled far enough down the road for them to see any approaching traffic.  Pupils are to look in both directions and then cross when doing so is safe.

No student is permitted to ride a bus other than the one assigned to him/her.  Each student must get on and off at his/her assigned bus stop.  Students visiting friends may not ride another bus home other than the one assigned to him/her at the beginning of the school year.  Transportation to and from school is a privilege afforded to all children.  Students who obey the bus rules are entitled transportation to and from school every day.  When students repeatedly have difficulty following bus rules and prevent the bus from providing a safe and orderly ride to and from school, parents/guardians will need to provide transportation for their child for a period of time.
