Home Page Gunpowder Elementary School is implementing the Core Essentials Value Program sponsored by Chick-fil-A. Core Essentials is designed to highlight a different value each month. Table cards displaying the values and definitions will be sent home monthly with each student. These cards provide parents with an accessible tool for encouraging the value. Table cards give suggestions for conversation starters, activities, and discussion ideas similar to those used in the classroom.

This program also allows students to earn Chick-fil-A Kids Meal Coupons for demonstrating the value of the month. Coupons may be redeemed for a free Kid’s Meal at any Chick-fil-A location.

We have contacted Chick-fil-A regarding students with food allergies. Mr. Ly, owner of the Perry Hall Chick-fil-A, shared that they would be more than happy to make accommodations for these students. Simply let the Chick-fil-A employee know about your child’s food allergy and their coupon can be redeemed for an alternative menu item or toy that best meets your child’s need. Please see the allergen information attached to the October PTA newsletter.
